The Lumionox F-16 is a fully licensed product of Lockhead Martin Corporation, maker of the F-16 fighter aircraft. The watch is made to meet or exceed the tough military standards of all branches of the US Armed Forces (MIL Spec. # W-4637 4F).

Scratch-resistant sapphire crystals with Anti-Reflective coating are standard issue on this series. The dial is enhanced by 12 Luminox Light Technology (tritium gas) light tubes that glow continuously for more than 25 years, and glow 100 times brighter than other luminous watches.

Model 9109 features a black dial with orange highlights and a distinctive Orange color polyurethane strap, embossed with the F-16 Logo. Water resistant to 200 meters (660 feet) the watch also features a virtually scratch-proof sapphire glass crystal. The F-16 watch features a multi-jewel Swiss Quartz movement with a 50 month battery life.
