Bovet’s new line of Sportster Saguaro Tourbillon watches come in two distinctive diameters: 45 mm and 51mm in limited editions of 100 timepieces each. Each watch boasts a rare tourbillon movement crafted by the artisans of Dimier, Bovet’s artisan manufacture. This movement displays a 7-day power reserve on the front at 9 o’clock. The bi-directional 22K gold winding rotor provides an ultra efficient winding while the 47 jewels and the lightened tourbillon cage share in the effort of avoiding wasted energy. It is fitted with four hands to indicate the power reserve, hours/minutes, and the seconds hand is carried by the 60-second tourbillon cage.
In order to pay homage to the Bovet artisan crafts, there is a special attention placed on the decorations found in the Sportster Tourbillon. The movement bridges and baseplate are finished with vertical ‘côtes de Genève’ giving depth and contrast. The bezel, case-back, and crown are fashioned in refined looking 18K red gold (5N) as well as the traditional bow, a signature trait of every Bovet timepiece. The angled bow also maintains the art deco styling of the Sportster collection, which is based on the design of a 1930’s original Bovet pocket watch. Price: $145,000
