In 2009, the year marking the brand’s 125th anniversary, the Edox watch family is joined by a new bold diver’s timekeeper – the Class 1 Ice Shark watch. The new timekeeping creation of the Jura-based watchmakers represents a fine union of precision and dynamism and immediately makes one feel its decidedly maritime character.

The timepiece accommodates a quartz chronograph movement smartly pivoted through an angle of 180 degrees. It provides the following functions – the chronograph, hours, minutes, seconds and date.

The sturdy stainless steel case, with black PVD coating, measures 45 mm in diameter. The left side of the case features control pushers, with an orange epoxy trim, while the right side reveals the limited edition number. The case construction incorporates a black unidirectional ceramic bezel and a screw-in crown. The bezel numerals and markers in white and orange provide perfect readability.The dark gray carbon fiber dial has two sub-counters with an orange outline, one of them demonstrating a shark silhouette. It is completed with white luminescent hour markers. The dial is protected by a glare-proofed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.

The timepiece goes on an extremely comfortable black or orange natural rubber strap. It is fitted with a black PVD-coated stainless steel folding buckle featuring the brand’s logo.

The Edox Class-1 Ice Shark watch boasts a remarkable water-resistancedown to 1,000 meters.

Edox is famous for its close links with the nautical world. It is a partner and official timekeeper for the exciting class-1 boat racing event, named the Class-1 Powerboat World Championships. The name of the brand is also found on the 44-foot yacht, Sea Dubai, that is to take part in the RC44 championships, the international regattas represent qualifying events for the next America’s Cup.
