Parisian jeweler Chaumet presents an intriguing twist on its Dandy watch for men in Hong Kong, fresh from the watch fair this year. There are two models: the first is an automatic time-only watch while the second has a jumping hour complication.
The Arty Edition dispenses with the Dandy’s compromise between round and cushion case in favor of an outrigtht cushion shape, with brand new lugs, moving the crown to 12 o’clock in the process.
Despite this shift, the proportions remain classical, with both models measuring 40mm in diameter. For the time-only watch, the case is in stainless steel while the jumping hour model is only available in 18k pink gold.
For the display, all indicators are off-centered, with the hour window at 9 o’clock in the limited edition jumping hour model. For the movements, Chaumet is using the custom-made calibres CP12V-V and CP12V-III, both with Dandy-customized rotors. The jumping hours watch is limited to 120 pieces while the regular Arty Edition is not limited.
